Choosing a college is one of the most important and empowering decisions in a young person’s life. Yet, at the same time, it can be a challenging process, with high stakes, and it’s an endeavor where I try to guide students through the roughest part of the learning curve so that they can focus on the more important parts of their decision, rather than being overwhelmed with how much there is to learn and know.

I am here to help open doors, and allow students to put together the best application they possibly can. Our staff knows this process well, and can give you the benefit of our shared experience, and the fact that many of them went to the schools your child is interested in.

Ethics

If you’ve done some research into the college admissions market, you may well have come across services that DO write too much of the essay for the adolescent. A bit of free advice- avoid any services that do the vast majority of the writing for the student. They are exploiting your anxiety about the process for a profit, and this can lead to much larger problems than they purport to solve, not the least of which is that college admissions officers at top schools are on the lookout for this sort of fraud.

I sit down with the students and family throughout the process, provide constructive feedback, and will help the applying student produce an application essay that shows who they are, and gives them their best chance of success.
